February gave us some great days with the remainder of the last dump of snow and weeks of fantastic sunny weather. Now we head into March with some much needed snow already falling and more forecasted this week.
Here are some upcoming events to enjoy in Chamonix this month:
La Yaute Cafe Argentiere is hosting it’s quiz night on the 2nd March at 21:30. If you didn’t know already, they make some mean fajitas and margaritas for 14€.
Nitro Good Times open jam session is returning to Le Tour snowpark on the 5th March, starting at 14:00. If you cant make it, no worries! There’s another session on the 19th March, same time.
Toss the Boss will be returning every Sunday at La Terrasse from 21:00. Located in the heart of Chamonix, come to the seasonnaires favourite bar and see if you can win some free drinks!
La Delice wine bar and restaurant in Les Houches, are hosting wine tasting every Tuesday. For 25€ there are 6 wines from a specific region and a delicious snack platter. Make sure to book in advance to secure a spot!
Ride the Snake snowboarding event is back this year from the 10th-12th March. The event welcomes both amateur and pro riders to take part in ‘riding the snake’ at Le Tour where a massive snake-like snow structure will be built. The pro competition takes place on the Friday and there is a ‘Snake after party’ in the evening at the Bunker night club on Rue de Moulins in Chamonix. On Saturday 11th, the test village will be open for everyone to try out the latest equipment, there will be a barbeque and you can register for the afternoon amateurs competition, followed by live music and DJ’s. On Sunday 12th, the test village is open again and kids are welcome to register for the kids contest in the afternoon. The event finishes with a barbecue and pro rider demo.
