San Sebastián Surf Areas
Surf in the Basque country
The area surrounded of the Bay of Biscay, where France meets Spain along the Atlantic coast, is a great spot for surfing in Europe.
Playa de la Zurriola
Playa de la Zurriola is a popular place for surfers, particularly at high and low tide. With a fun wave break and sandy bottom it’s a good spot for all levels. Although there are lot of good surfers in San Sebastian, there is also room to spread out. Shortboards, fish, funboards and longboards all do well in these conditions.
Take a look at the web cam of the La Zurriola beach in San Sebastián. On a good surfing day the waves may look like the photo at the top of the page.
Playa Ondarreta
If you are more of a beginner and feel that the waves on Playa Zurriola are getting to high, Playa Ondarreta might be more suitable for you.
