Course description

All teaching is done in Spanish, even for absolute beginners who have never studied Spanish before. Our courses will improve each student's ability to express themselves and to understand Spanish.

At the school in San Sebastián you will learn to communicate in Spanish. The student will gain:
    •    Theoretical insights into the language with intensive training of Spanish grammar
    •    A sound basis of vocabulary and idiom
    •    Improved pronunciation and spoken skills
    •    Improved capacities to write and read Spanish


Methodology
The methodology is practical and requires a wide use of the language in the classes. For example, following a grammar lesson, students are required to apply what they have learned to a practical situation. The exercises at first are very controlled and then are practised more freely so that the students incorporate new structures into their speech, while gradually adding new vocabulary.

Teachers

The quality of the courses is based on a team of professional teachers with a common methodology. They have all followed a teacher training course and work as a team (there are two teachers in each group), and they exchange ideas. They receive all the support from the Director of Studies, and the newest teachers take advantage of the experience of the older ones.

Educational partner

Insted's educational partner in San Sebastián is the Lacunza School which is a member of the International House worldwide organisation. The school has taught foreign students Spanish since 1954 and has an excellent reputation. Lacunza IH is part of the network of Centros Acreditados del Instituto Cervantes since July 2002. Few schools in Spain have this prestigious recognition.

The school is also acknowledged by the Spanish quality organisations CEELE and FEDELE.

After completing your course you will receive an attestation listing your oral and written grades. Your attendance and participation in class is also mentioned and taken into consideration.
