In San Sebastián you have the chance to improve your Spanish through exchanges with an Intercambio. These exchanges are organised meetings between foreign students and native Spanish speaking students in order to let both parts practice another language. This might for instance be one hour spent in a café, where you speak English half the time and Spanish the other half.

Great spots for Scuba diving and snorkelling include the capes of Matxitxako, Villano and Ogono and the Gipuzkoa and Igeldo areas. There are a number of dive shops in San Sebastián where you can hire equipment and take open water diving courses.
Mountain biking and hiking
The Basque Country, a place of green mountains and excursions, are one of the great local pleasures whether on foot or atop a mountain bike. Follow the colour-coded trail markers and set off for a short hike or bike along the nearby mountain trails. For those preferring the heights, the highest summit in the Basque country is Aitxuri, 1551 m, on the Aizkorri massif.
Skiing and climbing
San Sebastián is close to the Pyrenees, the mountain range that acts as the natural boundary between Spain and France. In winter you can go skiing here and the school arranges trips to nearby ski resorts that include all the necessary material. Students at the school also have the opportunity to join the Club de Montaña, which offers climbing and hiking activities every week.
Gym
If you feel like going to the gym, The Mundáiz Gym, next to the school, offers our students preferential rates. Members of the Municipal Sports Council are able to take part in 20 different sports ranging from surfing, canoeing or sailing to tennis, hang-gliding and climbing.
