Levels
Have you studied Spanish at university?
The school in San Sebastián teaches eight levels of courses, from beginner to advanced. To find out your level a placement test is arranged on the first day of your course.
Beginner
This student has no knowledge at all, or only knows a few words or an occasional expression, of the language.
Elementary I and II
Students can express basic information with simple structures. They can use the present, past and future tenses.
Intermediate I and II
Students can carry on group conversations. They are at ease in everyday situations, can communicate using the indicative and know several subjunctive forms.
Advanced I and II
Students can communicate effectively in different social situations, using and understanding different styles of spoken language (e.g. formal language). They know and use the main grammatical structures in Spanish.
Proficiency
Students can communicate in almost all the different types of situations. They can understand and speak in all the styles of Spanish and know all of its different grammatical structures.
