Before you go
Tenerife has good
communications, especially with the Spanish peninsula,
by numerous sea and air links.
There
are flights to Tenerife every day from Madrid
and several times a week from Barcelona, Bilbao,
Malaga and Seville. There are also many links
to this main island from the rest of the Canaries,
especially between Tenerife and Gran Canaria,
with several air and ferry services every day.
Below are some links to airlines flying to Tenerife.

There are two airports
on the island. The international airport Reina
Sofia (Tenerife Sur TFS) in the south near Playa
de las Americas is where most of the international
flights arrive. The other airport Los Rodeos (Tenerife
Norte TFN) is in the north near La Laguna. Cheap
buses run frequently between both airports and
Puerto de la Cruz. The bus journey takes about
90 minutes from Reina Sofia, and 35 minutes from
Los Rodeos.
