FOR IMMEDIATE
RELEASE
Chamonix Mont-Blanc, France -
September 15, 2004 - As admission to the 2005
winter courses opens, INSTED also presents its
new summer programs.
Adam Jorlén, one of INSTED's
founders describes the new courses as a natural
development of the concept where the students
have the possibility to combine skiing and snowboarding
with language studies. In the same spirit it will
now be possible to complement the French classes
with climbing, mountain biking, paragliding and
hiking in the Mont-Blanc massive.
The classes will be taught half
day in groups of 13 people. During the summer
of 2005 two three-week courses will be given,
one in July and one in August. The courses are
open to all levels except for absolute beginners.
Private or shared accommodation can be booked
through the school.
As the school now will be open
during the major part of the year, the collaboration
with Université Stendhal and Centre Universitaire
d'Études Françaises (CUEF) will
strengthen. Aliette Faure who has worked for the
CUEF since the beginning of the cooperation with
INSTED says: "The summer courses in Chamonix
will incorporate mountain activities even more
in the teaching. When evaluating the winter programs
in Chamonix we saw that the teaching benefits
from mutual interests among students and teachers,
and that the progress and results obtained in
Chamonix compares well with what we achieve here
at the university in Grenoble."
Since 1999, INSTED Institute
of Foreign Education runs a French language school
in Chamonix, France. The town is situated 1035
meters above sea level, and is a popular resort
among skiers, climbers and mountaineers.
Each winter, the school has around 100 students
from all over the world, ranging from beginners
to advanced learners of French. All teaching in
Chamonix is carried out in a close cooperation
with the Stendhal University of Grenoble and its
institution for French as a foreign language,
the CUEF.
At present, the company has an office in Chamonix,
