INSTED was established in Sweden in 1997 with the concept to provide high quality language courses at locations that offer active and exciting leisure activities.

INSTED's first language school opened in Chamonix in the winter of 1999. We were convinced that it would be possible for students to combine their academic work with the adventures in the high altitude surroundings of the Chamonix valley. Today we know that this combination works. For several years our students have proved that you can develop your French skills at the same time as you improve as a skier, snowboarder or climber. Over the years we have expanded the concept to include French and Surfing in Biarritz, Spanish and Surfing in San Sebastián and Tenerife, and German and Skiing in St. Anton in Austria.

High quality courses yield good results. Satisfied students with fine grades from previous years reflect the well-organised, highly structured and carefully planned courses that we offer. Our schools have been awarded several national and international seals of quality and belong to a number of professional language-sector associations such as EAQUALS, Instituto Cervantes, CEELE and Fle.fr.

Our schools employ only highly qualified native tutors who teach their mother tongue. They are motivated and educated for their task and all have university degrees and experience in teaching their language to foreign students.
