The progress of each
student is evaluated with several tests
of different types during his or her stay,
Contrôle Continu. The more
intensive the program the more tests you
will sit.
After the courses
you receive an attestation with oral and
written grades. The student's total attendance
and participation in class is also mentioned.
All grades are given at a scale of 0-20
where a 10 means that you have passed.

Credits
Certain courses can be authenticated
into credits - for example American
and ECTS (read more to the right).
We are more than willing to
provide your home university
with an Official Transcript
and required course information
in order to grant academic credit
for your course. The recommended
number of ECTS credits for INSTED's
15-week semester course is 30.
Students
who wish to receive American
credits for our programs should
contact the study abroad office
or French language department
at your college or university
prior to starting the program.
Present your plan to them asking
for detailed requirements on
how to arrange credit in advance.
With the detailed information
from your home-campus, we can
typically provide all documentation
to complete arrangements.

| WHAT
IS THE TCF? |
|
NATIONAL FRENCH TEST
(optional)
The results of a TCF
test is a valuable proof of your language skills
if you for example plan to work in France or a
French speaking country.
The TCF is a national test in French delivered
by the Ministère d´Éducation
Nationale. It is given at specific centres in
France and in the rest of the world on certain
dates each year. In Chamonix the test is organised
in April each spring. The test is optional and
not included in our ordinary course program.
The structure of the TCF test is similar as the
English equivalent TOEFL.
Find out more about
the TCF test on CIEPs website.
