| Chamonix

No, Chamonix isn’t turning into the hulk, nor getting less polluted, but we are celebrating St Patrick’s Day!

This brilliant Irish holiday on the 17th of March isn’t a huge event throughout France but you are sure to find people (with Irish lineage or without) celebrating in all major cities and resorts. Chamonix has the best bars for you to be getting merry, enjoying the craic, drinking some Guinness, jigging to Irish music and preferably dressing in something green.

There will be plenty of places in Chamonix this Friday to properly celebrate Paddies Day. Here are a few you might want to swing by:

Munster Bar, UNMISSABLE! A proper Irish Pub in Chamonix Sud. Munster (named after the southwest province of Ireland) will be having its annual St. Patrick’s day extravaganza with a free BBQ and live Irish music from ‘Alternative Facts’ and other special guests. The party begins from 15:00 until late…

Monkey Bar and Restaurant will also be having a BBQ and a special Guinness challenge from 15:00-00:30!

Les Lanchers Hotel and Bar, Les Praz, where you can have, with every pint of Guinness purchased, a free green shot from 16:00-23:30.

Chamonix’s best apres ski band, ‘No Limits’, will be performing at Chambre Neuf from 17:30-20:00.

If pints of Guinness sound too much, then La Terrasse will be having baby guinness shots and lots of other green beers to choose from 21:00-2:00!

And for all of you who want to celebrate St. Paddy’s day until the wee hours of the morning, Amnesia Night Club will be your salvation, open 1am til 6am.

Sláinte Mhaith!
